How RegisterCompass Works: From Search Filters to a Buy List

RegisterCompass is a research layer, not the registrar that ultimately sells every domain. Its job is to help you reduce a large inventory to a shortlist you can verify and then acquire through the appropriate registrar, auction or backorder service.

Choose the inventory state

The platform exposes expiring, expired and auction-domain views. That distinction matters because the next action can be completely different: an available dropped name may be registered normally, an auction name requires a bid, and a pending-delete candidate may call for a backorder.

Combine filters

The official domain-search page says selected filters can be combined with an ALL or ANY-style operator. That lets a buyer screen for combinations such as extension, length, keyword, age, backlink-related metrics, auction state or price rather than sorting one column at a time.

Save the search

Once the screening logic is useful, save it. RegisterCompass documents saved filters, shortcuts and scheduled mail reports, so the same criteria can be reused when new inventory enters the database.

Export a shortlist

RegisterCompass publicly documents CSV and Excel exports, but its own pages currently conflict on the result limit: the export feature page says up to 25,000 results while the FAQ says exports above 1,000 are not possible. Confirm the live account limit before choosing the service for bulk-export needs.

Verify before acquisition

Open the archive, inspect the strongest backlinks, review anchors and confirm current domain status. A research platform accelerates screening; it does not turn a third-party metric into a purchase guarantee.
